Medicare: What to do and When to do it

When you think about Medicare, it can make your head spin.  Part A, Plan A, Part B, Plan B, Plan F, Plan G, Part C, Part D… whoa! Stop the presses.

The good news is that there is an independent, Oklahoma-based insurance agency that specializes in Medicare and can help you understand what to do, and when to do it.

Medicare Prepare is a group of over 300 licensed, certified insurance agents who are trained in the ‘rules of the road’ when it comes to Medicare planning.

In OKC, Richard Divilbiss manages the Quail Springs Mall branch office, and David Lancaster manages the branch office at Sooner Mall in Norman.  They can be reached at (405) 260-9008.

One of the wonderful things about MedicarePrepare is that agents are independent and are well versed in a wide variety of plans, including Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage plans, and Part D prescription drug plans. Under-age-65 health insurance plans are also available through the ACA Marketplace.

There are NO consulting fees for our agent services.  Agents are paid directly by insurance companies.

Annual enrollment for Medicare Advantage plans and drug plans runs from October 15th to December 7th. During this time, millions of seniors nationwide will either enroll in a new Advantage plan or change to a different plan with NO HEALTH QUESTIONS asked!

There are NEW PLANS called Chronic Special Needs Plans (CSNPs) which cater to Medicare beneficiaries who have been diagnosed with diabetes or qualifying heart conditions. These plans, if qualified for, provide richer benefits and lower copays than a traditional Advantage plan AND can be enrolled in ANY month of the year. This means it is not necessary to wait to enroll during the October 15th – December 7th time period, so please call one of our agents today if you have questions about the new CSNP plans.

Because plans and benefits change annually, we recommend speaking to a trained agent each fall to verify these changes and make an adjustment where necessary.

Upon review of your individual plan, our agent may recommend a change to the plan or suggest you stay with the current plan. MedicarePrepare associates will provide honest answers that could help save a lot of time, headaches, and money.

Are you:

  • turning 65 in the next 6 months?
  • a Medicare beneficiary due to disability?
  • on both Medicare and Medicaid?
  • new to Oklahoma, or have you recently moved to a new county?

These are all reasons that you may be able to change plans throughout the year and not have to wait until fall.

Give us a call and let’s talk about your options.  Call MedicarePrepare at (405) 260-9008 today.
